The scores rate the tone of news coverage, nothing more. They are not share-price data, forecasts or investment advice. A good score doesn't mean a share will rise, and a bad one doesn't mean it will fall.
How it works: Each morning we gather headlines from Google News, Yahoo Finance and 49 UK business and trade-press RSS feeds. Claude Sonnet, an AI model, reads each one and decides whether it is really about the company; its own brands and subsidiaries count. It then scores the news, and we show that as a tone score from −10 (clearly bad for the company) to +10 (clearly good). Scores beyond ±6 are strong and rare. A company's day score is the model's overall read of its relevant coverage. Days run on UTC. Pages update at about 07:45 UK time.
